We know where to be, when to be there, and how to make it worth your while. America's 250th is the biggest thing to happen on this harbor in our lifetime. We wouldn't miss it. Neither should you.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is America’s 250th on the Harbor?

America’s 250th on the Harbor is New York City’s celebration of the United States Semiquincentennial, featuring tall ships, naval vessels, fireworks, and harbor-wide festivities taking place July 3–8, 2026.

Will I see the tall ships from my cruise?

Yes. Select Circle Line cruises during America’s 250th weekend will offer views of the tall ships and celebration activity throughout New York Harbor. Viewing opportunities vary by cruise and date.

Which cruise is best for seeing the tall ships?

Our July 3 and July 4 special event cruises offer the most immersive experience, with front-row harbor views during the height of the celebration. Additional sightseeing cruises throughout the weekend also feature opportunities to view the ships from the water.

Will there be fireworks on July 4?

Yes. New York City’s July 4 celebrations are expected to include fireworks over the East River. Circle Line cruises offers an all-inclusive July 4th Fireworks cruise during the evening festivities.

Where do Circle Line cruises depart from?

Most America’s 250th experiences depart from Pier 83 in Midtown Manhattan, conveniently located on the Hudson River at West 42nd Street. Circle Line also offers 2 of their 6 daily sightseeing cruise options (Liberty Super Express, Statue at Sunset) from their Pier 16 location in Downtown Manhattan in the Historic Seaport District.

How early should I arrive?

We recommend arriving at least 45–60 minutes prior to departure to allow extra time for travel, security, and heavy waterfront crowds. America’s 250th weekend is expected to bring significant congestion throughout New York City and surrounding harbor areas.

Are food and drinks available onboard?

Yes. Food, drinks, beer, wine, and cocktails are available for purchase onboard cruises and on Pier 81 during the Tall Ships Parade Watch Party on July 4th.

Are tickets expected to sell out?

Yes. America’s 250th is anticipated to be one of New York Harbor’s largest public events in years, and availability for peak July 3–4 experiences may become limited.
